We had a wonderful day in Tarpon Springs. We rode our bikes along the Pinellas Trail that runs from Tarpon Springs all the way to St. Petersburg. It's a paved rail trail and virtually flat.We rode the most northern section and then stopped in the touristy part of Tarpon Springs for lunch along the waterfront. It is a working waterfront settled by Greeks back in 1905 to harvest sponges in the Gulf of Mexico. It is still operating today and the town has a greek flair. Our lunch at Dmitri's was very good. We will certainly explore more sections of the trail in the days to come.
